Due to the resignation of the Mayor, a supplementary election is necessary to fill the vacancy of Mayor for The Flinders Ranges Council.

The voters roll for this supplementary election closes at 5pm on Monday 21 December 2020.
You can check if you are on the state electoral roll online on the Australian Electoral Commission's website (external link). If you do not appear on the roll and are an Australian citizen aged 18 or over you should enrol immediately via the Australian Electoral Commission website (external link).
If you are not eligible to enrol on the state electoral roll you may still be entitled to enrol to vote if you own or occupy a property or are a resident non-Australian citizen. Contact the Council to find out how on 08 8620 0500 or visit The Flinders Ranges Council (external link).
Nominating
Becoming a member of council is a great way to represent and help make a difference to your local community.
The nomination period for the vacancy of Mayor for The Flinders Ranges Council opens Thursday 14 January 2021 and will close at 12 noon on Thursday 28 January 2021.
If you are interested in nominating, kits will be available during the nomination period from the council office located at Council Office, 1 Seventh Street Quorn.
A candidate briefing session will be held for intending candidates with a date to be confirmed closer to the event.
