Art Precinct
Formerly a carpark and shed storage area, the space has been transformed. The design is seen as visionary and incorporates spaces and infrastructure for markets, events, music, performances, private functions, general relaxation, fitness classes and so much more.
Opened in March 2023, the Precinct won the Best Public works under $2mill, presented by the Institute Publicworks Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) 2023.
The precinct connects the town area and will entice people to walk through and access businesses. The space is family friendly, featuring a large grassed area, a water feature, seating and gardens-it is a great space to relax and unwind.
Areas such as this are important to local communities and visitors alike. They build a sense of community and belonging and a cultural vibrancy which all, in turn, promote happiness and well-being.
