Infrastructure

The Flinders Ranges Council manages over $50 million of community infrastructure, invests over $5 million a year in services and assets for the local communities and has responsibility for maintaining 1,300 kilometres of local roads. Council faces a major challenge in funding infrastructure renewal and maintenance.

Council as part of the Annual Business Plan (including the Long Term Financial Plan and Infrastructure & Asset Management Plans) process, looks at the current priorities for rural and town roads. A copy of the current endorsed road plans are below. Please note that both these plans are subject to change depending on grant funding, disaster events and changes in government policy.
